I have mixed feelings about Title IX and how colleges deal with rape, but those people who say “colleges aren’t trained to deal with sexual assault, let’s leave it to the professionals in the police and the justice system”? You know jack shit about the justice system and how it deals with sexual assault.

Police are asshats to rape victims. They don’t even test a lot of the rape kits collected, even when evidence would help put the rapist in jail.

Remember when a popular football player was accused of rape? The police barely investigated, didn’t even both to interview the guys for weeks after the alleged rape. Whether or not Winston was guilty, the police fucked up the investigation badly because he was a popular athlete and who wants to touch that case.
